From January to October, the number of newly established foreign-funded enterprises reached 30,826, down by 6.78% over same period last year; actual use of foreign investment totaled 53.995 bn USD, up by 11.15%.
In October, the number of newly set up foreign-funded enterprises was 2,620, dropped by 14.01% than last October; actual use of foreign investment amounted to 6.776 bn USD, increased by 13.18%.
The number of project by US investment was down by 15.9% and its actual investment also down by 5.95% over same period last year. The number of newly set up enterprises by the former EU-15 decreased by 7.28% and its actual investment plunged by 29.54%
From January to October, the top ten countries/regions in investment in China (calculated by actual foreign investment) are: Hong Kong (18.655 bn USD), British Virgin Islands (12.914 bn USD), South Korea (2.945 bn USD), Japan (2.81 bn USD), Singapore (2.245 bn USD), United States (1.987 bn USD), Cayman Islands (1.788 bn USD), Samoa (1.457 bn USD), Taiwan (1.294 bn USD) and Mauritius (0.907 bn USD) . The total amount of actual investment from the top ten countries/regions accounted for 87.05% of China’s total actual use of foreign investment.
