TOPI : RELATIONS BETWEEN CHINA AND ALBANIA ASSESSED

TIRANA, December 3 (ATA) The President of the Republic, Bamir Topi received today the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Tirana, Wang Junling, who presented the Letters of Credit.
The Head of state and the Chinese Ambassador assessed that the relations between our two countries are at the highest level and that the friendship between two people is an early tradition.President Topi praised the achievements of China in all the fields and the increase of economic and trade cooperation with Albania and expressed the will for these relations to be further deepened to the benefit of the two countries.
Ambassador Wang Junling, while emphasizing the intensification during the recent years of the economic and trade cooperation of his country with Albania, assured President Topi that he will make all the efforts to intensify this cooperation in all the fields.
Talking about the future status of Kosova, President Topi re-iterated the known position of Albania in support of President Ahtisaari’s Package and praised the non blocking position of China as permanent member of the United Nations Security Council on the issue of Kosova.
The Ambassador of People’s Republic of China, Wang Junling assured that China will play the right role in the solution of the issue of Kosova according to the decisions of the United Nations Organization.
