Albanian people do not know how to call Chinese name, although we published "How to read Chinese Names (2007-11-22)" in our website ( Homepage > About China > Population > ). They called our Premier Wen Jiabao just Jiabao, and our Ambassador Wang Junling just Junling, such as "Junling said ......." in Albanian Daily News.
As for the Chinese names, the surname (Wen) always stands at first in Chinese order, while the 2nd and 3rd words (Jia Bao) are together to be the given name. Usually, we put the 2 words given name together as one word as: Jiabao.
So the correct call is Mr Wen, as "Wen said ...." or "Wang said ......." instead of "Junling said ....", just like "Berisha said" instead of "Sali said". |
